Caanan got his start drawing on the walls (and doors) of the family home. And the kitchen bench. Then the dashboard of the car. Until eventually someone shoved paper in front of him. In grade 5, he knew he wanted to be a comic strip artist like Charles Schulz, no matter how much his teachers protested the values of math, english and other aspects of life's slight inconveniences. His latest work has been for Radiotak's Something Wicked anthology, Cambridge University Press and Ziptales, an online learning site where he's been knee deep in comic recreations of classic myths and fairy tales. The comic strip dream draws closer every year. Check out his grossly neglected website.
