My name is Banjo Isis

me and my gagu

...and I live with my mummy and my daddy in Jumunbuk Strit, Ngukurr, in southeast Arnhem Land, where my mummy is a teacher and my daddy looks after me every day

... except right now my daddy, who is nearly finished studying to be a teacher himself, is away showing other people's children how good he is at teaching and also this week my mama has gone away with her school class to Croc Fest in Alice Springs

... and so I stay home to look after my Gagu while my Abija takes photos of me.

As you can see, I am always ready to tell my Gagu that she is a fine person and tell her also that she can always trust me to do just everything I want she says.

We have been having a fine, fine time together.

This is my street, which is called Jumunbuk Strit.

and this is what it looks like at the end of the day, looking out, across the street, from my house

and this is my house!!

which is all pretty OK, don't you think?

Just before Mum went travelling, she made me some playdough... and wow, right then, in the mail, Lin sent me a whole lot of wonderful tools!

My mum's pretty good at playdough, don't you think?

We go out and do things - sometimes we go to creche, sometimes we visit the school, sometimes we go to the store, sometimes the pool ... always I have to climb down these stairs. I am getting pretty good at climbing stairs, but you have to be careful!

Here I am in some new clothes, a present Dorothy asked Gagu to bring me.

We don't have to go out everywhere. There are things to do at home.
For example there is my own personal pool

And there are lots of other things. Do you think my Gagu can keep up with me?

When it rained, I discovered that on this side our house has no gutter — so that water falls on me!

Oh hey, yes, I guess I should introduce my special friend and very excellent lady dog, Mushu

Mushu is very good, but she is not allowed upstairs

If it's too hot we stay inside, spread ourselves around and get ready to dance to the music!

I do hope you have enjoyed this tour of my home. I'd better get back to entertaining my Gagu.

Bye!
