ARDI'S PROGRAMMES

ARDI’s programs are unique initiatives and innovative as they take into account the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) that are integrated into its work with young people.

Youth Exchange Program and Initiate Income Generating Activities.

This is where we interact with other organizations, groups and individuals in areas that are similar and those that seek to unite the youth, creating jobs and incomes for youth by identifying attractive and marketable activities to raise income.

Under this programme we have three projects:

1. Creating income from internet cafe. This is where the organization intends to raise funds as a stepping stone to construct a small scale-grain mill to create more jobs, income and qualifying in the market for locally produced maize here after making quality processing to fine packed and branded maize flour.

2. Training youth with computer skills. The Organization intends to provided computer training with is few computers operating in the café, this program can be conducted every early morning without affected business of café since very few or no customers do visit café in the early morning. Over 50 youths shall be trained every year under this program at reduced or no cost from this area.

3. Youth Talent Showcase & untold stories. This is quarterly talent extravaganza that showcases youth talents through different categories be it in music, modeling, fashion, drama, poems, public speaking among other talents, untold stories Documentaries about community issues which is not yet exposed on the world media.

Capacity Building:

The organization is endowed by a team of volunteers who offer different trainings ranging from youth project management, proposal writing, leadership training and other consultancy services and we hope to put orphanage care centre and give bursaries after identifying the reliable sources of income.

Internet café: Currently through NABUUR - The Global Neighbour Network we are initiating a community youth internet café project that seeks to facilitate their entrance to the income source and job market through computer training by starting small quality internet cafe in lira town for the community.

We are already working to seek computers with its alliance like photocopier, printer, scanner, faxing machine, credit line/grants for the setting up internet cafe that will be short listed.

We require two young volunteers and experts to be trained in various skills that they requires in order to carry out computer training and operate the internet cafe new plan effectively.

At the end of this project we wish to establish a Lira Information Centre (LIC) where is done at higher level and also to attract more funds...
