Hello and welcome!
[THIS IS ORIGINAL TEXT FROM FRED, WHO HAS PASSED MANAGEMENT TO SABBATH AND OTHERS.
FRED IS NOW A FULL TIME STUDENT IN KAMPALA.]
I am the Secretary of ARDI.
ARDI is unique here in its commitment to poverty eradication and development of youth-to-youth education and grassroots participation, through which it initiates, informs, motivates and involves the public.
These activities are prepared, co-ordinated and facilitated by young people — including me.
You can download a PowerPoint presentation prepared by Nabuur.com in 2006 about our vision and projects here.
I hope you find our web site informative and I also hope you can share our dreams. Come and join discussions in our 'virtual village.'

You can read other people's reports about the history of conflict in northern Uganda here and here.
To read our stories and our plans please use the links at the top and bottom of the page.
Our children have been most deeply affected.
This is what a child told Amnesty International:
I would like to give you a message.
Please do your best to tell the world what is happening to us, the children.
So that other children don't have to pass through this violence.
— the full Amnesty report tells you something of the situation from which many children are recovering.
Well, now you can do more than be informed. You can help us build a better future!
We invite your involvement with us in our great endeavour. We need your ideas, your expertise, your encouragement and perhaps some financial assistance to help us build programs reflecting our own priorities.
Here you can have direct contact with us, being assured that what you are engaging with is a local community setting its own goals. Please look at our objectives, as set out in our Memorandum of Association as a legal non-profit association in Uganda.
